5th Workshop

Some of the organizing members from our previous editions are currently academics and researchers at other national universities.
This opened the possibility for us to reach other regions of the country where there is interest in peptide synthesis and applications.
Thus, we decided for the first time to hold this event outside the V Region, moving to Coquimbo, with the Universidad Católica del Norte as the host and CEAZA as the local sponsor and organizer.
There were two full sessions covering topics such as the application of peptides in nanomedicine, microbiology, aquaculture, and agriculture, among others.
There were also keynote lectures in areas such as bioinformatics, circular dichroism, and peptide synthesis and characterization.
The event was attended both in-person and virtually by national and international researchers, and registration and accommodation scholarships were offered to undergraduate and graduate students.
